Everything what you need to know about season 6 Outlander

Finally! For those who are Outlander fans, we bring good news. Droughtlander is over – season 6 airs in March 6 2022! Those who have read the books on which the story is based on may well guess what exactly will be in the pitching season but we are now bringing you already confirmed information. So let’s take a closer look.

First Official Teaser!

SPOILER! First we want to point out that the whole article will include Spoilers, so if you want to be surprised, we definitely don’t recommend reading any further. Almost a month ago, the first Teaser of the sixth season came into the world, and since we are book fans too, we can well imagine what the new season will be about. During the war, we get the Christie’s family, Fergus is going to go through some tough times, Claire will be coming to terms with the assault that took place in the finale of the previous series, and overall Fraser’s Ridge is in for a rough time. And we have to say, we LOVE the song from the attached Teaser.

Opening Credits

Speaking of songs, a few days ago we got new opening credits. As with every previous series, the song that accompanies them will be Sing me a Song, but this time in male form! And what’s most interesting in the lyrics of the song is where they sing “Sing me a song, of a lass that is gone” has been replaced with “Sing me a song, of a LAD that is gone”. Are the creators trying to tell us something? In the footage, we can see Jemmy running, who we now know can travel. And even though we know Diana publicly said Jamie wasn’t going to die, we can’t be sure as to what level the creators will stick to the book draft.

The Christie’s

As we have long known (whether from books or confirmed information on the internet), there will be a new family, and with it a lot of drama. It’s members are Tom Christie played by Mark Lewis Jones, Malva Christie played by Jessica Reynolds and Allan Christie played by Alexander Vlahos and we have to say that all three actors are so sweet and cheerful from the first look of them that we absolutely cannot imagine how they will play their roles! Tom Christie knows Jamie from Ardsmuir Prison, and you wouldn’t expect Jamie to welcome him with open arms, since he was a bit of his rival. You certainly have something to look forward to. We’re adding a couple videos of the actors to let you know a little bit about them.

First Episode

What’s really interesting, and I’m sure all fans will appreciate, is that the first episode is extended and will have 90 minutes! This will definitely make up for the fact that the entire series, due to Covid-19, will only have 8 episodes. Of course, we certainly don’t have to worry about their quality. However, not only Covid-19 affected the process – as you can see from the added interviews, filming was also disrupted by bad weather.

We also definitely need to mention that there are some talks of a Spin-Off shoot starring John Grey, and given that John Grey also has several book submissions with his story, it’s really quite possible that something like this will indeed happen soon.
